About TrustOtter SMS Communications

TrustOtter is a review management platform used by local businesses (“Clients”) to request Google reviews from their own customers via SMS. When you receive an SMS through TrustOtter, the message is sent on behalf of the local business you transacted with. The first message will identify that business by name.

How Your Number Was Collected

You provided your phone number directly to the business at the point of sale, on a sign-up or intake form, or during checkout, and you expressly consented to receive SMS messages — including review requests — from that business. TrustOtter only sends messages to End Customers whose consent has been collected and documented by the Client business in compliance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).

What You’ll Receive

A single SMS message asking you to leave a Google review for the business, sent shortly after your transaction. Optional follow-up reminders may be sent if configured by the business. Messages will not contain promotional content unrelated to your transaction.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies. Typically 1 message per transaction, with up to 2 optional follow-up reminders.

Message and Data Rates

Standard message and data rates may apply to any SMS messages sent or received. Rates are determined by your mobile carrier and the specifics of your mobile plan.

How to Opt Out

Reply STOP to any message at any time to immediately unsubscribe. You will receive one confirmation message verifying your opt-out, after which no further messages will be sent through the TrustOtter platform.

Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact support@trustotter.com.

Privacy

We do not sell or share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes. See our full Privacy Policy for details on how your information is handled.
